Manawhenua Ki Mohua is an iwi mandated organisation representing Ngati Tama, Ngati Rārua and Te Ātiawa within the area defined as the Golden Bay catchment and Kahurangi National Park area (i.e. Western side of Tākaka Hill).
Wakatu Incorporation has an asset base of $250 million, is a major landowner and is involved in fishing, acquaculture, tourism and viticulture. It is also active politically at regional and national levels, trades with other indigenous people and is recognised for innovation and leadership in Māori economic development.

Whakarewa is the trading name for Ngāti Rārua Ātiawa Iwi Trust (NRAIT) - a charitable trust established through a Private Members Bill - the Ngāti Rārua Ātiawa Iwi Trust Empowering Act 1993, which saw land holdings and accumulated assets returned to the descendants of the original owners of Motueka. Whakarewa manages property on behalf and for the benefit of the original 109 owners.
