Saxton Field has been booked for the iwi sports tournament -Te Ipukarea games - on Saturday 5 April, 2025
This coincides with the South Island Secondary Schools Athletics Competition which is taking place at Saxton Athletics Track from Friday 4 April to Sunday 6 April.
To facilitate the flow of traffic during this time, we ask attendees of these event to take note of the following;
- On Saturday 5 April, the road will be closed from 7:30am to 6pm between the Saxton Stadium by the playground and Nelson Suburbs Car Park entrance.
- Those attending South Island Secondary Schools Track and Field, please enter the Saxton complex via the Main Road Stoke end of Kerry Marshall Drive.
- Those attending Te Ipukarea, please enter Saxton complex via Saxton Road East, nearest the netball courts. Exit is also onto Saxton Road East, but via Kerry Marshall Road, behind Saxton Stadium.
