Thank you for using our Track it resource to check on the status of your resource consent application.
The status updates can be confusing as they describe the steps in the consenting process by reference to the sections of the Resource Management Act. We appreciate this is not always user friendly wording but is necessary for Council.
It may be helpful to know that when you see a reference for SEC88 or maybe SEC95, this refers to Section 88 or 95 of the Act. You can visit the Quality Planning website and search for more information related to these terms.
The Quality Planning website exists as a partnership backed by Ministry for the Environment, New Zealand Planning Institute, Resource Management Law Association, New Zealand Institute of Surveyors, Local Government New Zealand and New Zealand Institute of Architects. A search of the website will assist with the definitions and stages of the consent process so you can see at which stage your application has reached and the potential future stages also.
