We have not set a date for the Hearing yet.
The applicant asked Council to suspend the processing of the application. Council agreed to extend the suspension period until 1 May 2019.
As a result of consultation with submitters, the applicant gave the Council more information on odour and cultural effects on 20 December 2018.

The next step usually involves going to a Hearing. At a Hearing the decision maker(s) considers the evidence from everyone, and submitters who wanted to be heard can explain in greater detail their submission. We do not have a date for the Hearing yet.
If you made a submission and said you wanted to speak at the Hearing, we will email or write to you to tell you its date. When we let you know that date, we will also inform you exactly when the Council planner's recommendation on the application will be available on our website. It's on the website at least 15 working days before the Hearing.
The applicant also has to give the Council their evidence 10 working days before the Hearing. Again, we will make it available from this webpage.
If you are a submitter and you are getting technical specilalists (eg a planner or some other professional) to provide evidence to support your submission, we will need a copy of their expert evidence at least five working days before the start of the Hearing.

Replacement for Permit NN000539V2 - Discharge of treated wastewater into Waimea Inlet from Bell Island WWTP.
Replacement for Permit NN000541 - Discharge of contaminants (primarily odour) to air from Bell Island WWTP.
Replacement for Permit RM071151 - To discharge treated wastewater to land (to the north west of the Bell Island WWTP) by way of irrigation.
Discharge of treated wastewater to land via seepage from clay-lined facilities (ponds) at the Bell Island WWTP.
To occupy the coastal marine area and to use and maintain an existing pipe and diffuser outlet structure, required for the discharge to coastal water.
