Seeking Feedback on the Draft Waimea Inlet Action Plan

Feedback closed 9 March 2018.
All submissions will be collated and reported back to a council meeting at a later date.

Waimea Inlet is a special place, loved by many people, and home to a wide array of living organisms, some rare and threatened, others international migrants. The Waimea Inlet Coordination Group (made up of representatives from a range of organisations and groups) was set up to promote the restoration and protection of this special place. The group sought feedback on the draft Action Plan in early 2018.

Purpose of the action plan

The action plan will act as a guide to fulfilling the hopes and aspirations in the Waimea Inlet Management Strategy (2010). We applaud the efforts already being made, and are now wanting to take the next step by securing commitment from individuals, groups and organisations who want to make the strategy’s objectives and outcomes become reality.

Have your say

Feedback has closed.

Please help us identify any improvements, and make suggestions on how we can ensure we achieve the best for the Waimea Inlet.

We want to know:

  1. Have we identified the right actions?
  2. What have we missed?
  3. Are we being too ambitious or not going far enough?
  4. What actions would your group be prepared to put your name to as a lead or a participant?
  5. What else do we need to think about before we finalise this document?

Send your feedback to Anna Gerraty by 9 March 2018.
