These proposals may be discussion documents that raise various issues and options concerning resource management in the Tasman District.
They may also be draft Plan amendments (Variations or Changes).
Technical reports with recommendations may also accompany the proposals for which Council also seeks community feedback.
We are currently working to implement the requirements of the National Policy Statement for Freshwater Management in the Takaka valley and surrounding catchments.
To date this has involved the collaborative development of a package of recommendations by a group of community representatives. The Council is currently working through the advice and recommendations of the group.
