Tasman $200

We provide $200 grants for youth aged 15-20 to pursue leadership opportunities. Applications are open at any time.

Every year, the Tasman District Council are able to provide scholarships of up to $200 each to students from within the Tasman District to participate in youth development or leadership opportunities. This page explains the criteria and links to the application form. Please note that applications must be received prior to the event taking place.

Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Live in the Tasman District and aged between 15-20;
  • Fill out the application form and return at least four weeks prior to the voyage or youth development opportunity taking place;
  • Apply only once a year;
  • Scholarships are for individuals only, not teams or groups;
  • The scholarship is for youth development or personal skill enhancement projects, for example Outward Bound or Spirit of New Zealand.

Tasman $200-ships are designed to help young people in Tasman reach their potential with a focus on youth, leadership and personal development courses. The Scholarship will be up to 25% of project cost limited to a maximum of $200.

Successful applicants are required to provide Council with a short written report detailing their experience.
