MSD's Community Capability and Resilience Fund

The Community Capability and Resilience Fund (CCRF) is a fund available to community groups for initiatives that support the rebuild and recovery from COVID-19. The $36 million fund is available from 1 August 2020 to support communities over the next two years. Read more about it and apply.(external link)

Community grants - grants from rates

The Community Grants Scheme annual funding round is open each year from 1 May until 31 July.

Up to $1000 is available year-round for listed heritage building restoration.

Motueka Community Board Discretionary fund

Outstanding Community Service Awards

There are lots of people who work quietly away with little recognition to make our communities better places to live. We recognise their valuable contributions through the Outstanding Community Service Awards.

Rivers and Stream Management Fund

We provide financial support and advice to prevent stock access to waterways and to protect and enhance important habitat. 

Special Grants Fund

To encourage and support new significant events or projects within the Tasman District.

Sport NZ Rural Travel Fund

Help with travel costs for rural sports clubs and rural school teams. The goal is to help young people aged between 5-19 year-olds participate in local sports competitions.

Youth leadership grant

We provide grants for youth aged 15-20 to pursue leadership opportunities. Applications are open at any time.
