Postponed: History brought to life - March 17 2019

This event has been postponed. Please visit the Nelson Cathedral steps at midday tomorrow to support and show solidarity with our Muslim community. Women are asked to wear a headscarf.

Tomorrows event "History brought to Life" is postponed out of respect for the victims of the Christchurch attacks.

The History Brought to Life performers and Council felt that given the Christchurch tragedy we did not want to be running an event that clashed with the Race Unity event.

However that event has also been postponed, on the advice on the New Zealand Police.

The Nelson Multicultural Council have now organised a gathering at the Nelson Cathedral steps Sunday at 12.00 pm. They ask that women wear headscarves.
